TOP >> Challenge to be a papermaking craftsman course

To the beginning fine garbage is washed with clean water. Beautiful Japanese paper can be built by this work.

Small garbage is also carefully.

Washed kazi is struck and loosened. This was not based on appearance, but was heavy and got tired.

A hand gets tired with 3 times.

The thing like the point is put into water and it mixes with a bamboo stick. If it stands for a while, it will mix by "maguwa". Power is applied considerably.

Considerable force is necessary

The liquid which was able to be taken from "tororoaoi" is put in and it mixes further. In order that this may divide a fiber. It is sticky and serious

I became heavy

Paper will be built if it is mixed enough. Originally "sugeta" is used. However, through this course, it makes from "Nagashisuki". What is necessary is just to do work about 3 times.

The next gives a shake at the side (wide lily). I scoop raw materials more than time of the lotion and I hit the wall of this side with "Sugeta" and shake it in right and left. The next gives a shake at length once if I throw away raw materials. I save it in the same way as a while ago and shake it a thing of "Sugeta" ahead up and down small this time. Because I make paper called the mino size in this experience, I repeat wide rocking and approximately three times of rocking long to thicken. Finally I save some raw materials once again in the same way as time of the lotion and throw it away. Payment water means this.

Why does it waver to length and breadth?
Fiber is connected with fiber well by wavering to length and breadth, and this is because it is possible for a firm, strong Japanese paper.

I shake it carefully
I was gradually tired

The next reduces water by a machine absorbing water if I finish being not crowded. I let you dry to some extent if I absorb it. I tore it off from a net with a brush carefully, but it has been already to strong paper at this point in time.

I am quite strong

Here, I stick it on the metal dryer which circulated hot water of 60 degrees inside and dry it. Generally I seem to dry in from 10 to 15.

I stick it well

There was a lot of I made it and began it, and understanding it. Because it was an experience while an instructor had you teach it carefully this time, I was able to make it well, but felt it to produce the Japanese paper which did it to a product if an expert technique was necessary. Papermaking in particular was the process that was important to make a Japanese paper with uniform thickness, but was tired very much just to make size of real half.
