PRODUCT OF WINDMILL

The method of making a blade

A butterfly's wing-shaped

A seagull's wing-shaped

A dragonfly's wing-shaped

A maple tree's seed-shaped

Record a quantity of the generation of electricity in wind-tunnel experiment

First, I conduct observation of the flow of air around blade by a blade model. And, I record the generation electric energy by tester. In this case, I discount the Reynolds similarity.

Make a butterfly’s wing-shaped blade

Cut a P.P board (2mm thickness) to 35cm long × 15cm wide and half circle in a clavifarm part. Put a pipe which inside diameter is 1cm into the back of blade as “bone”.

Make a dragonfly’s wing-shaped blade

Cut a PP blade (2mm thickness) to 35cm long × 15cm wide, and make cuts in the back and front. Make a mountain fold and a valley fold.

Set up the wind lens on the dragonfly’s wing-shaped blade

I set up a wind lens made by myself as converging wind equipment. I bought a tub which is the biggest in being on sale for \2000. And I cut the bottom of it by saw.

Fit a blade on a hub-dynamo

Disassemble a hub-dynamo

A hub-dynamo which has just bought is very hard, so I pour sewing-machine oil into a bearing part. I disassemble it because I wonder what kind of the mechanism it has.

Join a blade and a hub-dynamo

Hold a blade and a hub-dynamo with a bolt (5mm) and a spacer (2cm). A pitch angle is decided by the length of a spacer.
