     What is needed for the future evaluation? It is evaluation which focuses on the process of the children's effort. For example, to write a report we need to collect informations: reading books, newspapers, magazines, researching by means of the Internet or dictionaries, interviewing from our parents, or specialists...etc. But we cannot include all the informations in a tiny paper. We should select, and hand in the report. 
     Traditional evaluation just sees the paper. Made it! It wasA!! That's all what happens after submitting papers. 
     What will happen, if the teacher, looking at the data saying "You found such a wonderful things, you should use this materials and investigate here deeper." We can reflect and make confident with our work. The ideal evaluation is portfolio evaluation. 
     Portfolio is a kind of file, and we collect what we've got into it with a certain kind of selection. Teachers will write their comments on it with red pens or evaluate with each other how much the child grew. 
     We file not only the finished goods, like reports, papers, pictures, VTRs, but also how they have done, idea notes, materials, drafts, and the scheme and self-reflections of the activity. It might be difficult to select. We file what the child achieved, and what they come to obtain, like the acquirement of new vision and concept. Teachers find what is good about the child and praise for them. It could be a presentation from students to their teacher. Teachers give them the best subject from the portfolio. Students could evaluate with each other. 
     We can hear students say "What I could do in the first term was only that, but I now can do far better!" That's whay portfolio evaluation is said to be a new evaluation.
