For solving these problems

②Let's look at familiar logos

Let's take a look at the convenience stores that we often use and see some of the familiar logos.
These three logos are, from the left, “Identification Mark of plastic”, “COOL CHOICE”, and “Eco Mark”. “Identification Mark of plastic” and “COOL CHOICE” were marks on plastic shopping bags.

・Identification Mark of plastic

This logo shows that the containers and packaging of products are made from plastic. Consumers are able to separate and throw away plastic products easily by looking at this logo.

・COOL CHOICE

Based on the Paris Agreement, Japan has set a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 26% in FY2030, compared to FY2013. This is a symbol of the campaign, "Promote a drastic reduction of about 40% in the home and business sectors to achieve this goal."

“Eco Mark” was displayed on products sold at convenience stores.

・Eco Mark

This is an environmental label attached to various products and services which are admitted to be useful for environmental conservation. These products and services provided that they have to have a low environmental impact throughout the entire life cycle from “production” to “disposal”.
In this way, some logos show that companies and others are acting "eco-friendly", and some logos aim to encourage consumers to reduce plastic. When we are recycling, we tend to think “we are doing something good for the earth!”. However, it is different. We can do good for the planet only after we act for reduction of plastic.
