Collision with meteorites

This is the problem!

How to deal with mwteorites?

In the universe, there are small celestrial bodies called asteroids. The size varies from stones to 1000km in diameter.

Asteroids are abundant in the asterooid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

Asteroids include "Ryugu" explored by Hayabusa2" currently heading to another asteroid.

Meteorites are those asteroids and fragments that are attracted to the earth and fall to the ground.

One of the impacts of the meteorite that affected the Earth is the extinction of dinosaurs due to the meteorite hit 65 million yeas ago.
At this time, a meteorite with a diameter of 10km collided.

Many scientists are currently watching for meteorites to fall, but not all meteorites can be accomodated.

This is exactly the case with the Narashino meteorite that fell on July 2, 2020.

However, it is unlikely that these meteorites will kill people or interfere with space travel vehicles.

Rather, small meteorites are a very important clue in exploing the 4.6 billion year history of the solar system.

But what should we do if a large meteorite that is likely to affect us approaches the Earth?

One is the rocket.

Launch a rocket loaded with bombs to collide with meteorites and shatter or turn the meteorites.

Then you will see a beautiful shooting star.
