Liquefaction

In the place whose base is loose and soft, sand and water are melt equally.

If a big earthquake occurs, being light, particles of water go upward of the ground and, being heavy, particles of sand go downward. Because of which, heavy things(ex: buildings, cars) go down and light things (ex: manholes) rise.
