Reflection of Light
The Light is reflected back when some or all of the incident light at the boundary between materials of different refractive indices.
is reflected(Incidence angle, reflection angle, see Fig.)
This is called
reflection of light.
(The refractive index is determined per substance.)
In this case, the angle of reflection equals the angle of incidence.
Incident light is reflected from a certain direction in a predetermined direction from a smooth surface.
In fact, it does not necessarily happen in a natural substance.
Basically, there is no perfect thing.
A typical example of reflection is Total reflection.
When the angle of incidence exceeds a certain level, the light is reflected altogether along the border plane.
This phenomenon is called
Total reflection.

Antireflective coating
| As the name suggests, this is a membrane to prevent the reflection of light.
As Light waves overlap, these strengthen and weaken each other.
One can reduce the reflection of light usingthis phenomenon. |
