The thinking of "words" are completely different in Orient and Occident, and this is probably caused by the essential difference of "Words" and "Hearts".
In Orient, it is thought that "hearts" are more important than words. Things that are actually importand cannot be expressed by words, and is only able to be seen by actions of people.
On the other hand, it is thought that expressing things into words is the most important thing in the Occident. Moreover, they are thingking that expressing into words are ways to show their dreams.
