Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS


The AIDS patient was discovered for the first time in 1981, and a special organization is being gradually needed to a global spread of HIV and AIDS in the United Nations. January 1, 1996, Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS was launched, joining five U.N. organizations, and World Bank as common sponsor in response to it.


Purpose

- AIDS measure strengthening support of a developing country.
- Measure strengthening support of the government to the measure against AIDS
- Strengthening and adjustment of the United Nations of the measure against AIDS

Activity

- Policy planning of the measure against AIDS, research.
- Technical support centering on talented-people training in a developing country.
- Education of the synthetic and many-sided measure against AIDS.
It is not the fund supply or the organization which performs project implementation directly to a developing country.
