Gangoji moves to Heijokyo Asuka-dera built in Asuka as first temple in
Japan.
Now, although the remaining buildings are only Gokuraku-bo
and a room for Zen contemplation, the tile of the Asuka period is mixed with a
part of roof.
Marukawara and hirakawara
A red tile
The tile doctor of Kudara tells Japan that he transmitted the tile, and will be
in it in 588. The building using a tile in Japanese construction was most until
Nobunaga Oda built Azuchi Castle.
The red tile of the Asuka period remains in the backside in front of Gokuraku-bo
of Gangoji. What piled up especially Marukawara is called the "Gyokibuki"
from the method of the fukikata.
