It is supposed that the military man of the Heian period and Sakanoue no
Tamuramaro built. Destruction by fire was repeated and Iyemitsu Tokugawa rebuilt
the present building. Hondo known for "shooting Niagara" is 15m せり at a cliff --
it is carrying out and a whole view of the city area of a capital can be
commanded. This temple assembled with 139 pillars is making the wonderful scene
which harmonized that it was natural, without using a nail.
