In particular, it has the largest support for startups in the technology sector in the region. Under the international NGO Oxfam's "Entrepreneur Development Program (EDP)" over the last 3 years it has supported 416 business projects and helped create more than 1,300 jobs. Through 20 years of experience and experience, it has played a central role in the Cape Town ecosystem." says Ian Melington, CEO of CiTi(CiTi :The Cape Town Innovation and Technology Initiative)of Cape Town, a well-established South African incubation facility.

History

After the abolition of apartheid, many African colored people (colored race) migrated to the Afrikaner settlement. However, many Afrikaner were unable to find work, leading to a high incidence of crime by some unemployed people and extremely poor security in the city. On the other hand, whites and those who were successful with the times moved to the Santong area, about 10 kilometers from the most dangerous downtown area. It is the center of the economy and continues to develop as a smart city.

Relations with Japanese Companies

Ian Melington says, "I think there are several ways to collaborate with Japanese companies. First, Japanese companies should become sponsors through the aforementioned "Development of companies and suppliers" of BEE. Other initiatives include hosting hackathon events with Japanese companies and sharing best practices for startup hubs in Japan and South Africa.".
