Hands-on learning of heart and lung revival methods
In hands-on learning of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, we experienced a chain of measures of CPR with the medical simulation mannequin.
First we experienced with be showed an instructor’s example, and finally we did all the measures by ourselves. This is what you see in the footage.

After finishing the hands-on learning
I don’t appear in the footage, but I did simulation of Continuous Chest Compression.
I did Continuous Chest Compression only thirty times at a rate of 100 per minute and pushing down about 2 or 2.5 inches over and over, and Artificial Respirations to the medical simulation mannequin twice, but it made me very tired.
I need much power than I’ve thought, and Continuous Chest Compression’s pace was too fast for me…
When I finished thirty compressions, my palm little hurt, so I couldn’t begin Artificial Respiration rapidly.
By now, I’m afraid of the time when I should do these measures.
When we began the hands-on learning, an instructor said us that when we need call to ambulance or bring AED, we have to designate someone from near attendance not ask for help. Because only asking for help, people in the attendance depends and asks it another person in same attendance, finally we can’t cooperate with them. I agreed with it.
But I found that even designating is very difficult in a way. Because I hurried when I designated my staff mates in order to record example of how to do first-aid movie in MOVIE site. Maybe, if I had been more calmly, I could have designated more easily. This is the way that I found designating difficult.
In addition, finding amount of the power for Continuous Chest Compression was also difficult, moreover rhythm of compressing is also important, I heard.
These first-aids or its knack is hard to take. But the time these skills are needed may come suddenly. So we always have to take as soon as possible so that we can deal in an emergency.
