Referendum
The national referendum will be held on the date the 60th to 180th Diet passed by the National Assembly, counting from the date of the commencement of the revision of the constitution. Voting rights are held by Japanese citizens 18 years or older.

Not a member who attended the House but a member who is enrolled in the House (In this case, the House of Representatives: 475 people + the upper house: 242 people = 717 people).

Amendment of Article 96 of the Constitution
Although it is not taken up on this site, it is stated in the draft amendment to the Constitution of the LDP that more than 2/3 of the total number of parliamentarians constitute the proposal in the National Assembly to constitute more than 1/2 of the total number of parliamentarians. For this, there are opinions such as "It should be easy to revise to the Constitution tailored to the times" or "It is a Constitution so it is not easy to change it."
