Black lives matter organizations are making countless efforts to abolish racism. To “Black Lives Matter” that has been heavily medialized recently, to “The Movement for Black Lives” who are making several contributions to abolish police brutality against black people, there are several organizations that are contributing to abolish racism. Though we cannot introduce all, we have listed three organizations for your reference. The organizations below are advocating to abolish racism. For example, with the recent death of Breonna Taylor, “Color of Change” has made a campaign to protest that the policemen who killed her should be jailed immediately. By knowing these organizations, it will contribute greatly to your understanding of racism and what efforts and initiatives are taking place regarding racism.

Is a global organization: UK, US, and Canada.
Mission: Demolish/Eradicate white supremacy (白人覇権) and prevent violence amongst Black communities.
Original Organizers: Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi
Created a movement called #BlackLives Matter after Trayvon Martin’s murder in 2013. The organization itself was formed in 2014. Alicia Garza is an activist who was one of the people that posted #BlackLivesMattter on Facebook.

US’s largest online racial justice organization. Has 1.7 million members. Found in 2005, Oakland, California.

Are Abolitionists (abolitionism: movement to end slavery). Organization that believes that prisons and police that inflict violence amongst Black communities should be abolished and instead, form institutions that protect Black communities and their rights.
