Security
In recent years, crimes and illnesses in places where many people are concentrated, such as downtown areas and stadiums, have become more frequent, and the need for police has increased. In addition, as globalization progresses, it is becoming increasingly important to be able to respond immediately to unforeseen situations during international events. Here are some of the advancements that 5G will bring in terms of security.
Security camera footage
With the widespread use of 5G, it has become possible to transmit a larger volume of data at once than was possible with 4G, and the delay has been reduced. As a result, the resolution of the transmitted images from the cameras has been improved, and it is now possible to see suspicious persons and objects in the distancefrom remote locations, which could not be seen with conventional security cameras due to blurring. In addition, it is possible to check the images remotely withless delaythan before.
Surveillance by drones and robots
In addition to the improved resolution and low latency of the video that can be transmitted, it is planned to use the advantages of 5G's ultra-simultaneous connectivity to send drones and robots on patrol to monitor various locations remotely in real time. This will eliminate the need for security guards to patrol the area, which is expected to reduce labor costs and alleviate staff shortages.
There are also plans to use drones and robots to capture images that will be used by AI to monitor people's movements and detect people who are acting suspiciously. In the future, it may happen that places where people gather are always being filmed by some camera.
