Tsunami

Tsunami brings about a lot of human damages (ex: death), material damages (ex: houses destroyed) and indirect damages (ex: flood). Besides, how big the human damages depends on not only how big tsunami has been but also time of occurrence, living environment and circumstance of refuge, largely.

On material damage, even if tsunami’s height is about one meter, it brings about flooding, damage of rafts for cultivation, outflow of fishing boats and fishing implements.

If tsunami’s height is about two meters, in addition to above-mentioned damages, out flowed boats and woods and so on collide with harbor facilities. Moreover, the fields are flooded, crops damage from salt water.

And tsunami can reach of far places.
Although, Chilean Tsunami which occurred in May 23rd, 1960, occurred in Chili, other side of the world for Japan, it reach Okinawa and at attacked terribly in each place.

It’s important for person who lives nearby the sea to make sure of tsunami information usually neatly.
