From here, I will tell you my own opinion about the three items
(presidential election, national sentiment, base issue).
However, since this is the opinion of the individual alone, it is not a correct answer.
The most important thing is how you felt yourself.

1. About Takeshima Dispute

   Regarding Takeshima dispute, I think that you should ask for third party countries such as the United States to mediate.s

   As introduced on the Takeshima dispute page, since 1952, Korea has security guards stationed in Takeshima and protests that the Japanese government is illegally occupied. However, if the Japanese side is protesting against South Korea, the time will just pass without progress as before.
   Also, even if we propose to consign judgment of territorial rights to the International Court of Justice, the Korean government will refuse as before.

   Therefore, I do not think that Takeshima dispute will resolve immediately by requesting arbitration to a third party country such as the United States, but I think that there is some progress, such as more places for talks than before. In the United States the presidential election was held the other day and Mr. Trump decided to be the next president. As Mr. Trump’s policy is not yet clear as it is on the presidential election page of Japan - US relations, I think that it is better to avoid asking for arbitration until America knows its attitude towards Japan.

2. About Comfort Women Issue

   As for the comfort women issue, Korea still requires an additional apology, but I think that it is not necessary to respond.

   Since the Japanese government has shown an apology to former comfort women until now, I think that nothing will change even if we make an additional apology again now.

3. About Japan-Korea Relations

   Today, K - pop and Korean dramas are prevalent in Japan, and tourists are also increasing, so it can be said that cultural relationships are also restoring in addition to the government. Even now, issues such as the Takeshima dispute and comfort women issue remain, but I think that both Japan and South Korea should step down little by little and relations between Japan and Korea should be better. Also, I thought that cooperation between Japan and South Korea will make it possible to improve the issue of North Korea.
