　We found the following statement from discussion at Taiwan University.

Similarity with Japan

Some young people buy food for photogenic and instagram, and they sometimes get rid of them because their purpose is to take photos.
The government can impose punishment on companies when they make too food waste.
The proportion of recognition of ESG investing is low.

Difference with Japan

There are many Food banks, and systems in hotels people can take leftovers from the refugees.
Donations of food by NGO is not uncommon.
There are a lot of stands in Taiwan and they can get food easily and cheaply, and they tend to let food go to waste. Meanwhile in Japan, food is relatively expensive and they tend to treasure them.

Next we found following statement from Taipei First Girls High School.
Taiwan waste food as much as America, and it is 20% more than Japan, China and Korean.

In conclusion, we could get much information from various perspectives.
And we also could review differences between Japan and other countries.
