Volcanic forms | ||||||||||||||||||||
A volcano that looks like the one to the left is called a shield volcano .This volcano has solidified and is made of a high viscosity magma. It erupts quietly.
A volcano that looks like this is called a lave dome. It is made of a low-viscosity magma that has solidified.It makes explosive eruptions.
A volcano that looks like the one to the left is called a stratovolcano.This volcano is made out of mid-level-viscosity magma that has solidifind. It's eruptions one on a level between those of the shield and lava dome volcanos
How a volcano is made | ||||||||||||||||||||
The magma which a volcano has underneath it in a deep underground place bubbles up, gets cold, and solidifies on the ground. Magma is never less than 1000 degrees C.
Magma moves up little by little from the deep underground place. The magma collects near surface of the earth. This is called a magma reservoir.
Volcanic product | ||||||||||||||||||||
As for the red matter which comes out of the volcano, it is volcanic asheses, pumice stone, smoke and volcanic bawab. Volcanic ashes contains the grain which was made when the magma cooled off. The crystals among this grain are called minerals. There are a colored minerals and colorless minerals in a mineral. |
||||||||||||||||||||
There are things that are left in a colored mineral.Many metals, such as iron and magnesium, are containedin minerals.
There are things that areleft in a colorless mineral.
Eruptive rock | ||||||||||||||||||||
Magma gets cold and solidifies. into an eruptive rock. An eruptive rock is divided into volcanic rock and an abyssal rock. |
||||||||||||||||||||
The left figure is volcanic rock. Volcanic rock is a rock that gets cold suddenly, solidifies,is made near the ground, and consists of phanerocryst, or a big crystal, and a portion of the stone which did not get used to a make the crystal. |
||||||||||||||||||||
The left figure is an abyssal rock. An abyssal rock is cooled slowly, and is solidifies.Compared with volcanic rock, this mineral is large. |
||||||||||||||||||||
How a stratum is made | ||||||||||||||||||||
The image to the left is called a stratum. Volcanic ashes, sand, etc. lie in levers and a stratum is made. There stratums are made of sand and mud and ash. |
||||||||||||||||||||
Sedimentary rock | ||||||||||||||||||||
With a sedimentary rock, is deposited in to the seabed, the bottom of a lake, etc., and is piled up by the stratum and grows upwards. The sand and mud are pushed together, and harden.
How the land is made | ||||||||||||||||||||
The ground is eroded by running water The erosion sinks to the seabed or the bottom of a lake quickly and a layer of stratum is made.
Conclusion | ||||||||||||||||||||
A stratum and a volcano have a close relationship.
