These facilities are charge of settling out and separating flocs off treated water with inclined tubes, after suspended solids generate flocs by mixing coagulant in flocculation basins. Accumulated suspended solids on the bottom part of the basins are scraped by clarifiers (sludge scrapers), and sent to wastewater treatment facilities.
