Introduction

Clothes are very important for everyone all over the world. Choosing and buying clothes is fun, especially for high school students. However, we were shocked to hear how the mass production of clothes has affected the environment when we were in the first grade of high school. Since then, we have been thinking that we want to solve this problem. Moreover, we would like more people to know more about the various problems existing in the fashion industry. You may think environmental problems require patience and the cooperation of huge numbers of people to solve. You may also think that there's little you can do to help solve them. However, by focusing on the familiar clothes and fashion industry, we think you will find that there is a lot we can do to help solve the environmental problems. We hope you will also become more interested in helping solve them in any way you can.

Our high school has been designated as a SGH(Super Global High school) by the Ministry of Education, and we have been participating in various activities. We chose the “Economic development and the environment”course for our research project. We made this web site as one of our activities and We hope this will be an opportunity for many people to know what we have been researching and how fashion industry is connected with environmental problems.

Kaorin
Kaorin is our leader. She is the first person among us to become interested in the problem of "fashion and the environment". She is good at thinking from various points of view. Being sociable, she can make friends with anyone. Also, she helped make this website better with her communication skills.
She participated in a program in Taiwan.

Chi-chan
Chi-chan has been interested in "organic products" for a long time, so she has a lot of knowledge on them. She is very smart, so she can organize and clarify all of the materials,like reports and notes, that we collected.
She participated in a program in America and Taiwan.

Sakitan
Sakitan designed and made shirts for our class for the school festival. As this shows, she has artistic talent, and is especially good at designing. Sakitan arranged our research and work schedule, and is also the one that designed our website.
She participated in a program in China.

Nozomin
Nozomin is the captain of the basketball club and is a born leader. Nozomin always finishes her work quickly and helps the other team members with their works. In this way, Nozomin helps increase the scope and depth of our project.

Rukapyon
Rukapyon likes reading various kinds of books. With her rich vocabulary, she is good at expressing her opinions well. She is kind enough to actively help the other team members.

Site Guide

Our theme is “fashion story” but we don’t just explain how to make clothes. You can understand the relation between the clothes and the environmental problems with our original characters. Also, you can think how you live a eco-friendly life with clothes.

You can find the causes of environmental problems at each stage or process of fashion industry. Also, you can understand the clothes deeply because we add the explanation about the clothes into this page.

We also have paid particular attention to the design of our site for children to understand the contents. For example, we used characters and we tried to use plain expressions. Also, the web pages include not only the fact we studied but also the reports on our activities. So, we want both students like us and adults to see the pages. Besides, we interacted with foreign students in our activities. So, we tried to make our pages with making use of the relationship.
