Even now Russia and the United States do not seem to get along well, but the relationship between the Soviet Union and the US was worse than it was now. In addition, the conflict between the communist-socialist Soviet Union and capitalism-liberalism America was called the Cold War (a war without warfare), affecting Europe and Asia as well.After that, the Cold War ended and once the relationship improved, but the relationship between America and Russia worse as Russia intervened in Ukraine militarily.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin is showing a welcoming attitude towards the Trump next president elected in the recent US presidential election.

Relationship between Russia and China where socialist states seem to be good in the socialist nation is not so good due to differences in thought theory in the former Soviet era and it had developed into a border conflict. However, as Gorbachev secretary general of the Soviet Union, developed policies for Asia, the relationship between Russia and China has advanced.

After that, Russian economic crisis and so on have also been overcome by having economic relations such as exporting weapons to China.

Relations between Europe and Russia

Russia and the EU (European Union) are different from China, the relationship is still not good.

Russia is the largest country in contact with the EU and has great influence on Europe. Especially, in terms of energy, many European countries depend on Russia.

Currently, Russia are subject to economic sanctions as Russia has militarily intervened in Ukraine and the EU announces that the period of economic sanctions against Russia will be postponed until the end of June 2017.
