Introducing Mindstorms
What's the Mindstorms?
Mindstorms is an advanced LEGO.
Program commands into the EV3 Brick and connect sensors and motors to the EV3 Brick.
Devising, you can make robots, autonomous cars, and even space elevators.
In the past, LEGO hasn't been able to move, but with this new technology, LEGO has started to move.
Mindstorms is LEGO, but not LEGO.

Parts of Mindstroms
(Reference:1 Permitted,edit)
We used the EV3 system. I will introduce some representative parts of the EV3.
・EV3 Brick
It is, so to speak, a computer. It gets information from sensors, calculates, reminds and commands motors.
・Large Motor
It is a kind of motor. We used it to move our machine forwards and backwards in our experiment.
・Medium Motor
It is also a kind of motor. We used it for steering in our experiment. Mindstorms has only two kinds of motors.
・Ultrasonic Sensor
It is a kind of sensor which measures the distance between itself and another object by emitting ultrasonic waves and measuring the time it takes for the ultrasonic waves to return to the sensor. We used it for measuring the distances between machines in our experiment.
・Color Sensor
It is a kind of sensor which emits light and measures the color and luminance of reflected light. We used it for recognizing the black lines in our experiment.
・Gyro Sensor
It is a kind of sensor which measures rotation angles. We didn’t use it in our experiment.
・Touch Sensor
It is a kind of sensor which recognizes objects in front of the sensor by touching the objects. We didn’t use it in our experiment.
There are also parts required for assembling.
Various things can be made by combining and devising them.
The data of our machine
You can download the programs here. Opening it, you can find 3 programs
You must have a software called LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 to use any of the programs.
