The time to learn synthetically is to learn interdisciplinary, and to learn what children are interested in. We used to teach knowledg, not wisdom. Children should learn how to learn by themselves. Learning by themselves is not to learn lonely. They should collect information and communicate. They shouldn't be robotic person who can only do what he's told to. They can make their knowledge deeper without the order from their teacher, then the wisdom can be acquired. Teachers should think about the theme with their children. International affairs as a current needs, information, environment, welfare, health, and where they live are some of the themes. For example, to learn foreign affairs, students make their own theme or the theme of their group. The life and culture abroad, the connection between Japan, politics, hisrory are the themes. After deciding their own theme, they begin to collect information. Researching the goods which are exported or inported are one of the way. By means of books, magazines, the Internet, interview they can learn how to collect information. Teachers help children complete or collect the information. Children used to learn only for the examination. But what we can measure by paper tests are not the ability. If they acquire the ability to learn, it would be the ability to live. They will learn more positive. Yes, the amount of knowledge would be declined, but the quality will maintain. Schools used to teach from the textbook examined by the government. The ability can be aquired easily, because it is easier to compare with the ability which children of other schools have. But were they desire to learn? In this subject, schools can do their variety classes. With the wide school areas, parent and children can select the schools. Schools should compete with others. But for the change of the school itself, some schools may be bunkrupt. To change we need to bear some pain. The society should also change. After the ache, the education becomes more charming.
