World Food Day is held all over Japan!

 

This time we participated in Chiba Kita!

 

 

What is World Food Day?

 

World Food Day is...

A day established by the United Nations in 1981 as a day to act on the world's food issues on October 16, every year, and established as a universal day based on a resolution of the 20th (1979) FAO General Assembly.

Everyone in the world works together and is the most important basic human right"Food for everyone"with the goal of making the world a reality and solving malnutrition, hunger and extreme poverty worldwide.

Triggered by this day,more and more people are reviewing their own lives and practicing ways to live with the world at leastthat is the wish of World Food Day.

 

 

In Japan...

 

The Japan International Hunger Control Organization has been promoting awareness campaigns in Japan since 1982 in cooperation with UN agencies.

The World Food Day Convention is held in more than 25 locations nationwide, with three months from September to November every year as World Food Day Month.

When we arrive at Japan, we aim to think of the table with a total population of 7.2 billion when we arrive at the table, and to start doing what we can to create a world where everyone can eat.
