Cricket Takoyaki
This takoyaki is made with cricket powder kneaded into the batter.
This is an easy way to use crickets in your menu, even if you are new to insect eating.
In this video, I made three kinds of takoyaki, one without powder and others using two kinds of cricket powder.
Ingredients for 20 pieces
ć»2 tablespoons cricket powder
ć»40g octopus
ć»100g commercial octopus flour
ć»40g egg
ć»50g cabbage
ć»50g cabbage 20g spring onion
ć»20g spring onion 10g tenkasu
ć»210ml water
ć»Moderate amount of sauce
ć»Moderate amount of mayonnaise
ć»A pinch of bonito flakes
ć»A pinch of red ginger
1.Mix together takoyaki flour, water, egg, and cricket powder.
2.Cut the octopus into chunks.
3.Finely chop the cabbage and green onion.
4.Grease a baking sheet for takoyaki and heat it well.
5.Pour the batter into the baking tray.
6.spread the ingredients evenly.
7.Turn the batter around with a skewer.
8.Keep turning it to form a round shape until it turns light brown.
9.Serve on a plate .
Add the sauce, mayonnaise and dried bonito flakes and it is done.
