Here we look at the efforts of companies other than H&M and FINE Corporation, which I just mentioned!
* We have not received permission to publish the names of the companies, so their names will be hidden.

M Corporation

M Corporation has been working on an initiative called the FUKU-FUKU Project (now called BRING) since 2010.
This is an initiative in which we, the consumers, bring our used clothes to the stores, where they are collected and turned into energy as resources.
If the condition of the collected clothes is determined to be no longer wearable, they will be recycled and reclaimed as energy such as ethanol.
If the garments are judged to be wearable, they will be reused, re-dyed in Japan and sold as new products.
In addition to all clothing items purchased from M Corporation (excluding underwear and socks), towels, sheets, and covers can also be collected.

F Corporation

Next, we will introduce the efforts of F Corporation (store names U and G).
This company reuses the clothes collected from its stores nationwide, and together with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and NGOs and NPOs around the world, the clothes are delivered to people in need around the world, including refugee camps and emergency disaster relief for disaster-stricken areas.
In addition, clothes that cannot be reused are processed and recycled as fuel and soundproofing materials.
The initiative started in 2001 with the collection of fleece products from Store U. In 2006, the scope of collection was expanded to include all products including non-fleece products, and from 2010, the scope was expanded to include products from Store G. By 2020, 41.11 million items of clothing will be delivered to 75 countries and regions.
In addition, as a new initiative, the company has recently been promoting "clothes-to-clothes recycling," starting with down products.
If you don't wear it anymore, you throw it away. Let's put an end to those days. Under the catchphrase, "Let's put an end to the days of throwing things away when you can no longer wear them," we are promoting 100% recycling of down and feathers by collecting down products from U stores that are no longer worn. By recycling down and feathers, we are able to reduce CO2 emissions in the production process by about 20%.
It does not waste resources, reduces the amount of waste, and reduces the burden on the environment. Store U aims to create a future where clothes that are no longer worn can be made into new clothes again and again.
Store U also focuses on the high quality of recycled materials. A new technology developed in collaboration with T Co., Ltd. allows us to efficiently produce recycled materials. Their system is shown in the following image.

The following is a brief explanation of the points to keep in mind when collecting clothes.
All products purchased at stores U and G are eligible.
In addition, in order for the clothes to be delivered to the recipient in good condition, they must be washed and brought with you. And please make sure that no valuables or other items are in the bag.
Please observe the above points and throw them into the recycling bin!

Z Corporation is committed to programs that promote recycling at every stage of the product life cycle, including the use of recycled materials in stores and warehouses and waste management.
The company then collects the unwanted clothes and donates them to support local non-profit organizations. In addition to extending the life of medicine, our goal is to make a positive impact on the community through our work with local organizations. We are also focusing on research to recycle more articles.
