Shortage of supplies after the earthquake

After the 2011 off the Grate East Japan Earthquake occured, shortage of supplies have also occured.

In kanto district, contains Chiba prefecture where the member of this site live, sweetened buns, canned foods, convinience foods,toilet paper and tissue paper have disappeared.
Dry cells and hand-cranked generators have also disappeared.

In other hands, due to lines of the cars which come to buy gasoline, big traffic jam occured.
In addtion, gasoline have been in short supply then there were cases that providing of gasoline was limited.

In Western Japan(the area contains Kyoto, Osaka and so on), instant foods and dry cells have also disappeared like Kanto district.
This cause can be thought that everyone have bought such things against an emergency. But maybe not only it.
Similarly, it was heard that people in Western Japan have been buying many stuffs to send to their friends who live in Eastern Japan.

Surely, supplies have been in short supply, but the shortage haven't been as worth as cornering.

It was just a result of each peoples' preparing this big disaster.

One of the reason why market cornering haven't happened was stores' good correspondence to this people's panic.
For example limitation on purchase of necessary things such as rice or bread have prevented cornering in advance many times.
Dew to systems like this make cornering difficlut, no cornering have occured, I think.

And stores have also contributed to babies and parents.
