Insects in rice. We explain about insects living in rice in this page.
Main kinds of insects living in rice
There are two main kinds.
「Kokuzomushi」
「Noshimemadarameiga」
Kokuzomushi
Color: Black
Long: 2~3.5cm
Strong point: They have long mouth like that of elephants.
They actively breed in higher than 20℃
They put their eggs into rice. When their eggs grow up, they get out of rice.
Then, they eat rice.
They can’t lice if they are freezed.
We can remove the insects which is out of rice, however, we can’t remove them in rice.
You shouldn’t eat the rice from which Kokuzomushi come once.
Put rice into particularly closed pack and eat it early to prevent them from living in rice.
Noshimemadarameiga
・Length of body is 7~8m
・Moth
・Everywhere(Cut capers to seek shell)
・Larva is yellow and shaped like caterpillar.
Noshimemadarameiga stave plastic easily.
So rice preserved in the plastic is targeted by them. (It is the reason why rice is not preserved in the plastic)
And what they target is not only the rice.
They like food included oil and fat content so they target that food.
And, food particles are also targeted.
As provision, you make everything avoid the place in high temperature and preserve by case glued up.
And you keep the case clean.
