Enter a sacred arch...

Imaichi,an area in south of Oita City, there flourished as a post station. This Shinto shrine,called"Maruyama-Hachimansha"is there. Maruyama-Hachimansha was built in 1611. Seemingly, this is a dull shrine in Japan.

Wow! There is a very big gate. This gate is said to fauxed it in Nikko-Toshogu,which is a Shinto shrine in Tochigi prefecture. If you have seen it,don`t you remind?

Incidentally, this gate was built in 1720,donated by Matsuda Shouemon, who was a wealthy merchant in this place.

There are many delicate carving around this gate. Though this is illustrative only, if you visit, please be fascinated waching them.
