Summary

   In the Edo, Meiji and Taisho Eras, there were many upper class people who worked as samurai in Kishiwada, and they attended Kishiwada High School. In those days, there were no other large sophisticated schools around here, and so when people found items that seemed to be valuable, they would bring them to this school. For example, they sometimes found some valuables such as roof tiles at temples and brought them here. This is how we have these treasures in our collection. It is said that a famous samurai Yoshida Shoin visited our school and enjoyed seeing the items.
