Summary

   Kishiwada High School has a remarkable archive called Ochiai Archive, which is a collection of 1582 Japanese and Chinese books, dating from the late Edo Period to the early Meiji Era.
   These books were collected by Ochiai Tamotsu, who was the fifth principal of Kishiwada High School under the old system, and among them include the first edition of "the anatomy" from Holland and "Recommendation of Study" by Hukuzawa Yukichi. This collection is designated cultural asset of Kishiwada City.
