Q1.Which shops do you often buy your clothes? Fast fashion brands took first, second and third place of high school girls' favorite clothes brand. Fast fashion is a bussiness condition which produces and sells goods in large quantities at a lower cost in short terms. As the young like cheap and cute clothes, fast fashion is popular. Q2.How much clothes do you buy in one season? 0~4 32.2% 5~10 61.3% 11~ 6.5%
We guess that a lot of girls buy 5~10 clothes in one season because of its low price.
Q3.Did you wear your clothes you bought last year? Yes 60.3% didin't wear the clothes 39.7%
About 40% of the girls answered that they didn't wear all their clothes they had bought last year. The clothes which the girls don't wear may be sold recycle shops or given to someone. But, a lot of clothes are probably thrown away. About 40% of the girls cannot continue to wear their clothes.
Q4.
Do you know "Ethical Fashion"?
About 80% of the girls without our school students don't know what ethical fashion is. (Our school students studied ethical fashion. So, we excluded them from the survey.)
Q5.Do you care about the environmental problems when you buy some clothes?
Not only Japanese students but also the foreign students tend to think the price or the design more important than the environmental problems.
Certainly, the clothes are not seemed to connect with the environmental problems on the face. But, in fact, many problems happen through fashion industry and consumption. Do you understand the relation between the clothes and the environmental problems?
