Cricket Pizza
This is a pizza with cricket powder kneaded into the dough.
Ingredients for 4 sheets
・6 tablespoons Jamaican field cricket powder
・150g heavy wheat flour
・120g light wheat flour
・2 teaspoons dry yeast
・2 teaspoons sugar
・1 teaspoon salt
・210ml lukewarm water (adjust as necessary)
・2 tablespoons olive oil
・8 tablespoons pizza sauce
・1/4 of a medium onion
・2 green peppers
・3 mushrooms
・160g mixed cheese
1.Mix together strong flour, light flour, cricket powder, dry yeast, sugar, and salt.
2.Mix while adding lukewarm water.
3.Mix the dough with your hands to form a mass.
4.Place the dough on the board and knead until it becomes smooth.
5.Mix with olive oil and knead into a round shape.
6.Ferment at 40°C for about 30 minutes.
7.While fermenting, cut the ingredients.
8.Divide the puffed dough into four equal parts and shape into a round.
9.Cover with a cloth and plastic wrap and let rise.
10.Roll out the dough into a pizza shape.
11.Spread the pizza sauce and place the ingredients.
12.Bake in a preheated oven at 230°C for 10 minutes.
13.The pizza is ready.
