◎ Writing a paper
Summarize and review what we have researched so far in order to write a paper, analyze more detailed about heatstroke, and explore the better way to spread it.
In summer, we wrote a paper and applied to a prize essay contest organized by Chuo University. The title is “The risk and measures against heatstroke which we think".
We analyzed the risk of heatstroke in Japan by age groups and by region, and considered concrete and efficient countermeasures, using the data of Chronological Scientific Tables and Meteorological Agency. Because the amount of analyzing data was enormous and the calculation formulas for our analysis was very complicated, it took much time to complete this, but we could gain satisfactory analysis results.
As a result, we were able to won an honorable mention and our article is now made public on the website of Chuo University. Through the analysis using the correlation coefficient, we proposed measures to measure heatstroke by age.

◎ Conference presentation
Participate in the poster session and know the drawback of our investigational activity by getting objective feedbacks from professors and high school students nationwide.
We participated in a poster session of the Association of Japanese Geographers and participated in it helded at Wakayama University on September 23rd. When we analyzed about Japan’s heatstroke when we created the paper, we came up with an opinion that it is necessary to think about the problems of heatstroke worldwide. Taking advantage of that reflection, when creating posters, we also exmamined the world and analyzed using GIS. The biggest drawback was that there were many areas where data could not be obtained, but we were able to analyze the trends of each region and summarize the points.
We were able to talk with a professor in University of Tsukuba familiar with heatstroke, and to hear useful stories, such as how to conduct research activities and cautions when analyzing heatstroke. Besides, we could receive valuable advice and feedback from many other professors and university students.
This poster was also exhibited at a cultural festival, and many people became interested in it and taked with us about our project.
