Form of Employment
There are two types of employment: regular employment, where the working period is not fixed, and non-regular employment, where the working period is fixed. Whether you have a term of employment or not is related to your job security.
Types of non-regular employment
There are several types of non-regular employment.Typical examples are "temporary employee" "contract partner" "part-time employee". Each is described in detail below.
Temporary employee
Temporary staff is an employment system in which employees who belong to a temporary staffing agency are dispatched to various other companies in accordance with the Worker Dispatching Law.
It is characterized by the fact that the labor contract is made by the company to which the worker is dispatched and the temporary staffing company, which is a difference from the contract type employment. There are two types, general worker dispatching services and specified worker dispatching services, and they are distinguished by the type of work and occupation. In the former case, temporary workers are not always employed as non-regular employees, and they are not paid unless they can find a job.
In many cases, the main job type is not a specified worker dispatch business, as described below, and is not a technical job such as IT, etc., and the approval system is applied. Specified Worker Dispatching Undertakings are types in which regular employees, who are always employed by a dispatching company, are mainly dispatched as technical workers in IT, etc., and require notification.
Contract Employee
A contract employee is a type of labor system in which a contract with the company he works for is made for a certain period of time. In particular, monthly salary system or daily salary system is adopted. It is distinguished from part-time jobs because full-time work is required in principle.
In most cases, employees are eligible to take out social insurance such as employment insurance. In fact, many contract employees take out social insurance.
Part-Time workers
Part-time workers refer to workers who fulfill either "not permanent" or "part-time worker" but in general they are non-regular employees who fulfill both requirements and do not work full-time.
Employment is divided into regular workers and non-regular workers depending on whether or not the working period is fixed.
Non-regular workers are classified into temporary workers, contract workers, and part-time workers.
