Relationship between work style reform and SDGs

SDGs ポスター Adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015, it is an abbreviation for "Sustainable Development Goals", which is a goal set by 193 member states of the United Nations to achieve in the 15 years from 2016 to 2030.
SDGs 仕組み The SDGs are subdivided into three stages as shown in the figure on the left. This clarified the vaguely defined "sustainable development" and provided an opportunity to proceed with concrete measures.
The word "sustainable" is widely known to mean "does not destroy the environment," but it has many implications.
For example, "sustainable company" may mean "a company where employees can continue to work without undue burden."
In this way, the SDGs and work style reforms are closely related. Here, from the 17 goals, I will explain the 3 goals that are greatly related to work style reform.

5 Gender equality

This is thought to lead to the success of women.

8 Decent work and economic growth

SDGs ロゴ08 This goal consists of 12 targets and 17 indicators under the theme of "Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all".
It is thought that this will lead to the reduction of excessive or unjust labor and the improvement of job satisfaction.
8.5By 2030, achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value
8.8Protect labour rights and promote safe and secure working environments for all workers, including migrant workers, in particular women migrants, and those in precarious employment

10 Reduced inequalities

This is thought to lead to the promotion of employment of people with disabilities.
10.2By 2030, empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status
10.3Ensure equal opportunity and reduce inequalities of outcome, including by eliminating discriminatory laws, policies and practices and promoting appropriate legislation, policies and action in this regard
