The following is a description of the types of tea presented in three categories.
First, green tea (unfermented tea) is made from plucked tea leaves that are quickly heated (steamed)to stop the fermentation process.
Second, black tea (fermented tea) is tea that has been fully fermented.
Third, oolong tea(semi-fermented tea) is a tea that is heat-treated at the halfway point of fermentation.
The three types are, unfermented tea,semi-fermented tea, and fermented tea.
Un-fermented teas are regular sencha, deep-steamed-sencha, gyokuro, stem tea, bancha,
powdered tea, tencha, matcha, roasted tea, and genmaicha.
There are nine major types of tea. The following teas are available: black tea, oolong tea, sencha (regular), deep-steamed-sencha, gyokuro, stem tea, bancha, tencha, powdered tea, matcha, roasted tea, and genmaicha.
