＜甲州勝沼の戦い＞The battle of kōshū-katsunuma
鳥羽・伏見の戦いの後、江戸城に戻ってきた近藤勇らは、勝海舟（かつかいしゅう）に「甲府に行き、新政府軍を足止めしろ」と命じられた。
（一説によると、江戸城明け渡しをスムーズに行いたかった勝海舟が、新選組を江戸城から遠ざけるために命じられた、ともいわれている。）
新選組は、甲陽鎮撫隊（こうようちんぶたい）と名を改め、土方らともに甲府へ向かう。
しかし、沖田の病状悪化、天候の悪さなどが影響し、時間を浪費してしまい、その間に新政府軍が、３０００の兵を率いて先に甲府城に入ってしまう。
味方も焦り、脱走する人が続出する。近藤は、「援軍が来る」とうそをつきながら、なんとか脱走を防ぐ。
そんななか戦いが始まるも、３０００対１２１という劣勢。しかも、近藤の嘘がばれ、味方はバラバラ。
新政府軍の圧勝で幕を閉じる。

Shinsengumi is changes a name withKouyouchinbutaiand goes to Kofu with Hijikata.
However, as Okita's disease condition deteriorates, the wether is bad, and so on, it is wasting time, during which the new goverment army leads 3000 soldiers and enters Kofu Castle first.
The suppoter is impatient, and people who escape continue in succession.Kondo keeps lying that "reinforcements will come",but somehow prevents escape.
