カワラナデシコ




　　日当たりの良い草原や河原に生育していますが、路傍や山地の斜面、海岸の砂浜などでも生育します。　日本では、本州、四国、九州に広く分布しているほか、沖縄諸島に少数が自生します。日本国外では朝鮮、中国、台湾に分布します。
　　多年草で、高さは３０〜５０ｃｍです。茎は根から生えて、節が膨らみます。葉は線形〜針形で、長さは４〜７ｃｍです。
　　花期は６〜９月です。カワラナデシコは草原など開けた場所を好みますが、自生地の開発や園芸種の採取、動物による食害、外来種の影響で減少している地域もあります。
