That’s why the workers don’t get enough wages.
One of the systems for protecting these workers in weak position is “fair trade”. It means that involving trade which supports producers in developing countries by paying fair prices and making sure that workers have good working conditions and fair wages. Then, we can protect the rights of producers and workers by buying the fair trade goods.
Most of people think that fair trade goods are expensive, but that’s wrong. The fair trade system can pay wages for producers to live a healthy life and the wages which exceed local minimum wage. So, in fact, many fair trade goods are not so expensive and we can buy them easily.
Fair trade goods are not only the clothes but various goods such as chocolate and coffee.
