General equality treatment law

A law aim to prohibit discrimination including sexual identity
In Germany, "Constitution under the law" was stipulated in the Constitution, but there was no law stipulating age or sexual orientation.

Those that included sexual identity in addition to race, ethnic origin, sex, religion, world view, disability age, with the EU directive as domestic legislation was enacted as the first discrimination law in Germany.

Life Partnership Act

A law that same-sex couples can registered as same as opposite-sex couples.
This guarantees legal assurance of co-living of same sex couples.

・Partners are obligated to consider each other, assistance and cooperative life, and are responsible to each other.

・Have an obligation to maintain livelihood with each other.

・Although it can not adopt with the child of the other partner, you can make a joint decision on matters concerning child care.
・Have inheritance rights similar to marital spouses.
・Living maintenance fee can be billed if separately.
・If the other partner can not maintain livelihood, you can charge one partner.
・If one partner dies, the lease contract will be succeeded to the other partner.

As same-sex marriage is approved in Germany, laws are easy for living with same sex couples.
The discrimination prohibition law is a very good law. Moreover, life partnership is safe as not only discrimination but also things about various kinds of life are stated.
