Introduce classes done by remote learning/streaming service nationwide

  • Because of COVID-19, more online classes like these increased not just the Japanese learning guidance
  • By doing online these classes, there is a high possibility being able to solve the gap between regions

Present situation

In fact, these services already exists


For example
  • Remote classes’ tools for Japanese teachers
  • This service was developed in order to solve the problem of having very few services specialized to Japanese support

  • Provides e-learning materials which were produced by the joint development of The Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute team of development of educational materials and The Open University of Japan
  • By using the internet, anyone can take lessons for free
  • In addition, there is a learning community on Facebook, so people can interact with the other learners

  • Information retrieval website managed by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Education Policy Bureau, International Education Division
  • You can find documents and Japanese learning guidance’s learning materials which each local government releases multilingually

Problems/Summary

It isn’t yet reaching to the kids who need Japanese learning support

  • Nevertheless each service is all great services, they are not all still used in the Japanese classes done by the local governments or there are some cases of children who live in scattered areas and need Japanese support not even knowing the existence of these services.
