Constitutionalism
The Constitution of Japan is based on constitutionalism.Constitutionalism refers to the idea of "restricting the power of the state by the constitution and conducting politics based on the law in order to protect the freedom and rights of individuals."
People should be respected by nature (basic human rights).
In order to achieve this, it is believed that the mighty state power that is likely to infringe on human rights should be restricted.
That is why constitutionalism remains so important to this day.
From this, the Constitution of Japan mainly shows the rights of citizens.
Based on these assumptions, we would like to delve into the only three "national obligations" that are stated in the Constitution of Japan.
