The Constitution of Japan has a total of 103 items, which stipulate various matters.There are many statements in the Constitution about the rights given to citizens, but only three things are stated regarding the obligations of them.
Article 99 of the Constitution states that "The Emperor or the Regent as well as Ministers of State, members of the Diet, judges, and all other public officials have the obligation to respect and uphold this Constitution."
"Citizens" are not included in the subject of this article, "The Emperor or the Regent as well as Ministers of State, members of the Diet, judges, and all other public officials."
In this long Constitution of Japan, there are "only" three obligations imposed on citizens.
On the flip side, I think the Japanese people who have been given these three obligations have a "great responsibility" to fulfill these obligations.
When we grow up, we must fulfill these three obligations as Japanese citizens.
