<Case 1>

Toilet paper was gone!?

paper

 In February 2020, a rumor that toilet paper will be lost due to the Corona virus disaster was spread on the Internet. A person who believed in it bought up the toilet papers, which caused a commotion because the stores ran out of toilet paper for a while.

<Case 2>

A lion ran away from the zoo!?

lion

 On April 14, 2016, during the Kumamoto earthquake, there was a person who posted on Twitter that a lion ran away from the zoo. Many people retweeted, this made people uneasy, and the phone at the zoo office didn't stop ringing. The act of tweeting information that is not true or false was an obstruction of business at the zoo, and those who tweeted were arrested.

 The cases above are impossible, and if you think it carefully, you will notice this. However, both were hoax information, which many people believed. When people are anxious, they tend to believe false information and the worst thing you can do is to send this out.

In order to distinguish hoax information, it is most important thing is to check the source of this information.
Please look at official website and determine if it's correct information!
Don't believe it right away but learn the habit of questioning things (information literacy).
