April 2018 we all had the same goal that "reducing foodloss" so we gathered together and made a group. May 2018 Researching into foodloss issues in Japan Visiting Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries by researching and visiting Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries we could collect many useful information about foodloss issues in Japan and exchanged our opinions about future activities to each other. June 2018 Deciding the theme of our exploration we decided to investigate Japanese foodloss issues by comparing with other countries. July 2018 Investigation and discussion we had a thought that reconsidering foodloss issues from a new point of view so we decided to research about foodloss issues in companies. August 2018 Visiting some food companies on field work and submitting a thesis in addition to four companies we visited Food and Agriculture Organization FAO and Global Environment Outreach Center. By collecting information that we cannot gather by references we could deepen our understanding. September 2018 Preparing for training to Taiwan and taking a survey about foodloss issues We prepared a presentation in English for training to Taiwan and took a survey about foodloss issues not only in Japan but also overseas. October,2018 Training to Taiwan and participating in "onigiri action" Through visiting Taiwan,we deepened our understanding about foodloss issues and found new problems. Furthermore,because October was a month of "World Food Day",we participated in "onigiriaction 2018"sponsored by TABLE FOR TWO. <What is "onigiri action"?> by uploading a picture of rice ball(called "onigiri" in Japan), 100 yen will be contributed and this 100 yen is corresponded to school meals. |
