From October 17th to 20th we went to Taipei to get more information about
foodloss issues.
Training in Taiwan is one of the activities of the super global high school (SGH), and Ochanomizu high school conducts it several years.
Around 30 confidantes go to Taiwan for 4 days.
We visit museums and discuss common problems with students of Taiwan University and Taipei First Girls High School (TFG) in English.
In the last day, we stay with a TFG student and visit the night market
and so on.
The subtopic of our exploration is that "Understanding Japanese Foodloss
Issues Through Comparisons with Other Countries".So this visit became
a good opportunity to gather local information for us.
In Taipei,we discussed foodloss issues with the students of Taiwan University
and Taipei First Girls'High School.
Here,we will show you what we learned and experienced in Taipei.

The 1st day
|
We arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport in the afternoon.
First,we visited two museums and had dinner at Taiwan restaurant.
It was our first time to eat traditional Taiwanese food!
Taiwanese food was a little different from Chinese food which we usually
eat in Japan,so we enjoyed eating a lot.

The 2nd day
|
After finishing schedules in the morning,we enjoyed eating a food that is eaten in the style,called "yamucha".
After lunch, we visited Taiwan University to discusse foodloss issues in English.
According to the students in Taiwan University,many young people are using
SNS as well as in Japan and many of them have a preference for good
looking foods to upload photos.Actually, their purposes are moving into
taking good photos from eating,so because of this,many foods are withdrawn.
Night Markets are famous as one of the Taiwanese traditional cultures.At
Night Markets, we can get many kinds of food cheap,but many of us forget
importance of getting foods and then withdraw foods with no hesitation.

The 3rd day
|
On the third day, we visited Taipei Girls' First High School and deepened
friendship with the students of TGF.Especially,in the afternoon,we discussed the present situation of foodloss issues in Japan and Taiwan.Through discussing, we reacknowledged differences and similarities between two countries.After that, joined together with each partner of TFG and stayed with host families.

The last day
|
In the morning, we ate Taiwanese traditional breakfast such as deep fried bread and soy milk for the first time.In the afternoon,we got together again and went back to Japan.

Summary
|
The amounts of Taiwanese or Chinese foods were a little more than those
of Japan.Through discussions and eating at local restaurants,we could gather
a lot of informations.
