Editor's note
I worked on the website as a coding member and participated in the creation of the website. In this coding work, I had the opportunity to try many unknown systems and advanced coding. There were times when the program did not work or bugs occurred, but for all the hard work, I believe that I was able to create a website that I am proud of.
I tried to make sure that the various designs of the site, including inserted images and logos, were “easy to see” and “easy to understand.” I hope every part of the site will be enjoyed by all.
I participated in the production of this site as the writer of the Japanese text.I consider myself as a humanities person, and I have a desire to convey my thoughts and feelings to various people. Therefore, I am very happy to be involved in this creative project to convey my intentions and purpose to as many people as possible. The creation of the website itself was something new and fresh that I would probably never have been involved in before, and because of that, of course, I encountered many difficulties, and I managed to make it to the final submission by constantly worrying and searching for the best.
I am filled with a sense of supreme accomplishment and satisfaction that cannot be expressed in any words. I will never forget the deep and passionate exchanges I had with my fellow members who spent the same time with me. I hope that you will enjoy the site and learn more about the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Last but not least, I hope that I was able to convey my thoughts and feelings to everyone.
I took advantage of my status as a returnee and worked on the English version of the site, as well as writing the Japanese content. At the beginning, I knew nothing about web contests, so I was mostly a listener during team meetings. However, as I worked on the site, my understanding of children's rights deepened, and I became able to actively express my opinions within the team.
Although there were some difficult times, I feel that the experience of getting this far while interacting with my fellow members was a great experience that will be useful for me in the future.
I worked as a leader in the creation of this website. We needed to form a team to participate in the 25th Japan Junior high school / high school Web contest, but it took a lot of work to gather members in the beginning. At first, I thought I might have to participate with only two members, but as it turned out, I got members with unique skills to join the team, and we successfully finalized the website. As a team member, I am grateful to all the members.
In addition, we interviewed some people. Once a reply email to our request for an interview went into the spam folder, and we left the email unanswered. Honestly, I was like, "I screwed up," but even after that, he kindly agreed to be interviewed.
In the activities for the contest, I gained valuable experience and met some new people. I believe that I learnt a lot through my participation in the contest.
